Color Wheel is Trinidelphia's second full-length album. Featuring a combination of originals and inventive covers, the record pays homage to the steelpan art form of Trinidad and Tobago with many unique twists. Steel drummer/trumpeter Chris Aschman's originals include "Color Wheel" and "Time Apart," which meld modern jazz with steel orchestra sounds. Lead Vocalist/guitarist/percussionist Shawn Hennessey's "Carousel" is a standout on the record, bringing a fusion of rock, cuban rhythm, and reggae sounds. Familiar songs by Bill Withers, Paul Simon, and Bob Marley have been given a fresh island overhaul. Other arrangements, such as The Mountain Beast and Breakthrough, are musical forays into bluegrass and soca respectively, designed to take the listener on a unique sonic journey. Enjoy!
